Who Says Texas Does Not Get Snow??? Check These Photos...

It was raining really hard when we left for church around 11:15am of Sunday, January 9, 2011. By the time the mass was finished, huge snowflakes were falling and the ground was a solid white blanket. It was so beautiful!!!

 

This is one of the many reasons why I love Texas. It has almost the same weather as the Philippines but it does snow once or twice a year, just giving us the chance to  have fun in the snow without the hassle of having piles of it to clear from the sidewalks and driveway. ;)

Texas - The Place To Be

Texas is the second-largest US State by both area and population, and the largest state in the contiguous United States. The name, meaning "friends" or "allies" in Caddo, was applied by the Spanish to the Caddo themselves and to the region of their settlement in East Texas. Located in the South Central United States, Texas is bordered by Mexico to the south, New Mexico to the west, Oklahoma to the north, Arkansas to the northeast, and Louisiana to the east. Texas has an area of 268,820 square miles (696,200 km²), and a growing population of 24.7 million residents.

Texas is a big state, some say it's like a whole other country. Well, that is the truth let me tell you...and it has a lot of beautiful tourist attractions that are so interesting to visit.

My husband & I, together with our eldest daughter moved here from the Philippines in 2004. We've been to other states like Louisiana, Oklahoma, Illinois, Virginia, Maryland, Philadelphia, Washington D.C.,New Jersey & New York...but for us, Texas is the place to be ♥♥♥
